Avant Gardens is an eco-friendly development of 103 acres designed with you and Mother Nature in mind. The vision for Avant Gardens was simple; develop a small, distinctive community where homes overlook a prairie of native grasses and wildflowers rather than neighbors. Where the backyard views are of sweeping forests and 30-foot ravines rather than swing-sets and swimming pools. And where families share the land with white-tailed deer, red-tailed hawks, and ring-necked pheasant.
The result; a community of twenty home sites, all surrounded by a 60-acre Wildlife and Forest Preserve created with help from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The preserve helps to ensure that the homes are isolated from any future development that may occur in this highly desirable area. But more importantly, the preserve helps to create a natural habitat for the deer, hawks, wild turkey, and pheasants that have lived here for generations. While the wildlife can easily roam on and off the 103 acres, the only people with access to this private preserve are the fortunate occupants of the twenty exclusive homes at Avant Gardens.
